Terms of Use
These terms are between you and TEMNIKOVA, LDA — Campo Grande 28, 7C, 1700-093 Lisboa, Portugal (VAT PT516343653), operator of Willow (willowgame.com), a fictional horse club game.
By creating an account or playing Willow you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. Contact: support@willowgame.com.
1. Who can play
- You must be 13 or older. Willow is not directed at children under 13; accounts we learn belong to under-13 players will be removed.
- Under the digital-consent age in your country — up to 16 in parts of the EU (13 in Portugal). A parent or guardian must review and accept these terms with you.
- Before your first stable opens we ask a neutral question about your birth year and month. Answers under 13 cannot continue, and the date itself is never stored.
- One sign-in per person; each sign-in can hold up to three stable profiles.
- Club chat needs a signed-in account; the same age rules apply there.
- Riders 13–15 may use club chat only after a parent or guardian confirms consent by entering a bank card — a verification check run by Stripe, our payment partner. No payment is taken and the card is never charged; the check is our evidence that an adult cardholder agreed. A card check shows an adult agreed — it is not proof of the cardholder's identity or of anyone's age. A parent can withdraw consent anytime via support@willowgame.com.
2. Willow is fiction
Your stables, profiles, horses, sponsors, and everything you name in Willow are fictional characters in a game. They are not meant to be you, and they are not meant to be anyone real. The exception is the Sponsors panel on free accounts: sponsors shown there may be real brands or partners of Willow.
- Never use your real name — or anyone's real name — for profiles, stables, horses, sponsors, bios, or handles.
- Never post real personal details (addresses, phone numbers, schools, photos of real people) anywhere in Willow, including public pages, uploaded images and club chat — where the filter is designed to block such content before it is sent.
- We may rename, hide, or remove content that contains what looks like real personal information — to protect people, not to punish.
3. Your account
- Sign-in is handled by Clerk. Keep your credentials to yourself — you are responsible for what happens under your account.
- You can create up to three game profiles (normal or creative mode) under one sign-in.
- Don't share, sell, or transfer your account. Don't create accounts to farm referral rewards or otherwise abuse the game.
4. Your content
You can write fictional content (stable names, bios, sponsor names), choose a public handle, upload sponsor logo images, and send text messages in invite-only club chats.
- You keep ownership of what you create. You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and transmit that content as needed to run the game, show your public page, and deliver chat messages to invited room members.
- Your content must not contain real personal information, and must not be unlawful, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, infringing, or intended to deceive or harm.
- We can remove or unpublish content and handles that break these rules or that we reasonably believe harm players or the game.
Club chat rules. Chats are invite-only rooms of up to 25 members — players join by accepting an invite, and there are no public rooms or shareable join links. Messages are plain text, up to 280 characters; links, images and files cannot be sent.
- In chat, never share real personal information — yours or anyone's: phone numbers, addresses, schools, emails, social handles or links. Never ask another player for personal details, and never send abusive, harassing, sexual or hateful content. Trying to slip such content past the filter (misspellings, lookalike characters) is itself a violation.
- An automated filter checks every message before it is stored — blocked messages simply are not sent. Every player can mute others and report messages; a room's owner can remove members and close the room. Sending is rate-limited to prevent spam.
5. Virtual items and currency
Tickets, gems, horses, tack, and achievements are in-game fiction:
- They have no real-world monetary value and cannot be bought, sold, traded, or redeemed for anything outside Willow.
- They are not transferable between accounts or outside the game.
- We may adjust, reset, or rebalance them as the game evolves — though we aim to respect your earned progress.
- Referral rewards (15,000 tickets per side) are granted when a genuinely new player joins through your link — one bonus per invitee, ever. Self-invites and throwaway-account farming are abuse.
If we sell things. Today everything in Willow is free — we sell nothing. If we ever offer paid gems, tickets or items:
- Prices are shown before you buy, in your local currency where available, including any taxes that apply.
- Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. — card details go straight to Stripe; Willow never sees or stores a card number.
- Virtual goods are delivered to your stable immediately after payment. EU/UK consumers: by confirming a purchase you agree that digital delivery starts right away and acknowledge that you lose the 14-day withdrawal right once the item is delivered — this never limits refund rights for faulty goods or anything else the law gives you.
- Unless the law says otherwise, purchases are final: virtual goods cannot be refunded, exchanged or transferred to another account.
- A parent who did not authorize a child's purchase should email support@willowgame.com before contacting the bank — chargebacks used to keep both the goods and the money may suspend the account.
- We may change prices or retire items for future purchases; anything you already paid for stays in your stable while your account exists.
6. Public pages
Your stable has a public page at /@handle, on by default — you can hide it at any time in profile settings. Anything on a public page is visible to anyone with the link — see the Privacy Policy for the exact whitelist. Never put real personal information on a public page.
7. What's ours
Willow's game design, code, artwork, horse images and videos (including AI-generated media our team produces for the catalog), marks, and the Willow identity belong to TEMNIKOVA, LDA or its licensors. You may not copy, redistribute, or reuse them outside the game.
8. Acceptable use
Don't interfere with Willow or other players: no exploiting bugs, no automation or bots that play for you, no scraping or bulk access, no attempts at unauthorized access, no uploading malware or illegal content, no reverse engineering beyond what the law allows. That includes chat: no flooding rooms with messages or invites, and no trying to evade the chat filter.
9. Moderation and enforcement
We can remove or restrict game profiles, content, handles, or saves that break these terms, and preserve records needed to investigate abuse. We try to warn first for honest mistakes; serious abuse (harm to players, security attacks, farming) can mean immediate removal.
Club chat is moderated by the automated filter described in section 4 plus player reports reviewed by our team — a report shares an excerpt of the reported message and the reporter's handle with our moderators (details in the Privacy Policy). We may restrict or suspend chat access, or accounts, that break the chat rules; report tickets are kept for the limited periods described in the Privacy Policy to enforce these terms. If we remove your content or take action on your account, you can ask us why and appeal at support@willowgame.com.
We confirm every report automatically and review it. If we suspect a criminal offence involving a threat to anyone's life or safety, we may report it — with the relevant records — to law-enforcement authorities. Contact point for users and authorities: support@willowgame.com.
10. Service disclaimer
Willow is provided "as is" and "as available." We don't promise uninterrupted service, that every feature will survive, or that the game is error-free. Planned maintenance and provider outages happen.
11. Liability
To the extent the law allows, TEMNIKOVA, LDA is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, loss of progress or fictional content, or losses from service interruptions. Where EU or Portuguese consumer law gives you rights that cannot be waived, those rights remain.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Portugal; where you are an EU consumer, the mandatory protections of your country's law still apply. Courts of Lisbon have jurisdiction, except where consumer law gives you your local courts.
13. Changes to these terms
We update these terms when the game changes — the "Last updated" date tracks revisions, and material changes are flagged inside the game before they apply. Continuing to play after changes take effect means you accept them.
